Carbon

This is a 3D project developed for the
Nouvel glass competition. The object
takes inspiration from iconic 2D animation
effects: explosions, lightning, shockwaves.
The graphic language of motion captured in
a single frozen frame.
To translate that energy onto the surface
of the glass, we used the Cat Eye technique,
borrowed from nail art. A magnetic polish
creates luminous, shifting reflections when
activated by a magnet during application,
and the final effect is locked in place
under a UV lamp.
The result is a glass that looks different
from every angle
